1907
In the heart of St. Petersburg
In 1907, in the heart of St. Petersburg – at the corner of Gorokhovaya Street and the embankment of the Moika River – the “Au Pont Rouge” department store of the “S. Esders and K. Schefals” Trading House was opened, in which even at that time they hand-tailored men’s and women’s clothing of the highest quality.
1909
Central Sewing Factory
In 1909 is the year when the Central Sewing Factory of St. Petersburg was opened at facilities of the popular sewing workshops of the “S. Esders and K. Schefals” Trading House.
1919
Volodarsky Production Association
In 1919, the country changed, and the enterprise changed as well – the garment factory was renamed as the Volodarsky Production Association. Only the quality of the manufactured products remained unchanged.
1945
The “Trud” factory
In 1945, another sewing enterprise appeared in Petersburg: the “Trud” factory for tailoring special clothing was created.
1964
Association for tailoring
In 1964, the Volodarsky Factory developed so rapidly that it was decided to create at its facilities an association for tailoring men’s outer wear named after V. Volodarsky, which included five of the best garment factories of St. Petersburg. In the same year, the “Trud” Factory was renamed as the Leningrad Garment Association.
1975
Association
In 1975, several large garment factories joined the Association, and “Trud” became the largest garment enterprise in the north-western region.
1992
Garment Factory
In 1992, the year of major changes, the Production Association named after M.M. Volodarsky was reorganized as the joint-stock company “Garment Factory of Saint Petersburg” – “FOS-P”.
2003
1 million garments
In 2003, the level of supply to foreign partners reached 1 million garments per year.
2006
BTK Group Company
In 2006, a new era in the history of development of the consumer goods industry began: two major garment manufactures in Saint Petersburg – the “Garment Factory of St. Petersburg” and the “Trud” Factory – were united. As a result of the merger of these enterprises, the BTK Group Company was established.
2010
FOSP and Onegin
In 2010, the major men’s suit brands FOSP and Onegin were merged into the single btc brand.
2014
BTK Holding
In 2014, the “BTK Holding” Management Company was established, and the following subsidiaries were allocated: the “BTK Group” garment manufacture and the “BTK Textile” textile manufacture.
2017
Company celebrated
In 2017, the Company celebrated its 110th anniversary with production assets of more than 8 thousand employees and 13 production sites throughout Russia, in the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of South Ossetia.
